What is CoPI?

CoPI is an AI-powered scientific notebook built for computational biology researchers. It combines rich markdown editing, in-browser Python execution, and an AI assistant that understands your work — all in a single tool designed for how scientists actually think and write.

You work in blocks: markdown blocks for notes, hypotheses, and documentation; code blocks for Python analysis; data grids for tabular results; and image blocks for figures. Python runs directly in your browser, so there is nothing to install, no server to manage, and no environment to configure. Just open a notebook and start working.

CoPI remembers your work across sessions. When you make a key finding, reach a decision, or establish a protocol, the AI assistant can save it to memory. The next time you ask a question — even weeks later — it recalls those details instantly. It can also search across all notebooks in your project, connecting results from different experiments without you having to dig through old files.

CoPI is designed for researchers in bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, and related fields. It communicates at a PhD level and understands domain-specific terminology, experimental workflows, and analytical methods. Whether you are running differential expression analysis, exploring protein structures, or documenting a new protocol, CoPI is built to work the way you do.
